Omnimatics 2020 Wrap Up - Buh Bye 2020, Hello 2021!

Posted by Wai Chong Mah on

As we are counting down to 2021, we asked our fellow Omnitians to share what were the positive things that they experienced this year and what they are looking forward to next year.

"2020 was a difficult year for a lot of people, in business and in life, given the ongoing Covid19 pandemic. Amidst all the uncertainty and chaos that it has wrung upon us, it was nevertheless a good opportunity to take some time to sit back, stare into the proverbial mirror and reflect. We did, and will continue to do what we can, to help our customers and fellow Omnitians and are grateful that everyone is doing what they can to survive during these trying times.

It is unlikely that the fight will be over in 2021, despite what many are hoping for with vaccines ready right around the corner. It will still be some time before it can be safely administered to the world's fledgling populace, and more time even before the effects of herd immunity starts to kick in to protect us.

Our resolve strengthened by what we experienced this year, will let us go into 2021 better equipped to fight both the virus and the looming economic depression. Sustainability is key to survival, which will be the primary focus at Omnimatics in the coming year as it should be for everyone else as well.

With the end of the year hours away I would like to wish everyone a Happy 2021 and to stay safe, stay strong, and most importantly, stay hopeful - for it is hope that ultimate allows us to see that there is light despite all of the darkness."- Raj

"2020 is the year of a lot of self-reflection, discoveries of new skills and appreciation for the little things in life. I am blessed to be able to continue learning and loving. I'm looking forward to everyone's mental, physical and economical recovery in 2021 and not to forget, to try all the new food businesses that were birthed because of this pandemic! Imma big believer of #supportlokal" - Ureee

"2020 is not as bad as it seems, I got to spend more time with my family and I'm so happy to complete a 30-day fitness challenge this year. I'm looking forward to saying bye bye to face masks and maskne in 2021!" - Kelvin

"This year, I've learnt to appreciate things that I might have taken for granted before the pandemic hit us hard. I hope next year would be a great year for everyone and most importantly, I hope to travel again!" - Emily

"In 2020, I have faced a lot of challenges. I've met people with different personalities and it has trained me to be more patient when dealing with whatever problems that I'm facing. This has become a great working experience for me. As for 2021, I will continue learning whatever that will make me a better person. I hope I can stay in shape for next year and to be able to travel when the pandemic is over." - Firdaus

"Throughout 2020, I have been reminded the importance of self-care and the support system we have around ourselves (i.e. friends, family, colleagues), and that no one should ever hesitate to reach out for help when it's needed as nothing is impossible as a team." - Han

"This year has taught us to be more considerate, not only to ourselves but towards others, where everyone has a responsibility to take care for each other. Hopefully, we get to maintain the attitude not only until the pandemic is over, but forever :muscle: " - Naim
"2020 is a very difficult year to go through, yet I have fulfilled all my dreams. I am grateful no matter what will happen next year and I'm looking forward to living the new norm in 2021." - Amir

"I'm feeling blessed to still having a job and being part of the team and I'm looking forward to 2021 so I can have more time being out with family and more mamak sessions with friends." - Kamal

On behalf of everyone at Omnimatics, we would like to thank you for trusting us with your fleet and your business.  There is no doubt that 2020 is a tough year for everyone. With the hit of the COVID19 pandemic and getting used to the 'new normal'.

This year we have learned a lot about self-love and love for others more than ever. 2020 is also about stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new. Give yourself a pat on the back because you have tried something you never thought you would have!

It may seem like 2021 is going to be tougher, but we would like to say "Don't give up! You can achieve anything you set your mind to" except for stopping COVID19, leave that to the scientist but remember to do your part in keeping the numbers low.

If you have not heard it enough, we will reemphasise, take good care of yourself and remember #MaskOn and let's flatten the curve together. Also, don't forget to #supportlokal
